If I were going to be a teacher I do not think that I would use data collection or surveys often at all. I feel that surveys would be more used by administration versus the individual teacher. Math teachers would be more inclined to using surveys because it could deal with numbers. Excel is definitely something that is widely used by teachers especially when it comes to keeping track of students grades and assignments.  After reviewing my classmates blogs the topics I found most interesting were adaptive technologies and the flipped classroom approach. The flipped classroom approach is when you give the students the material online before the class. This means that the students are able to learn the material before class. Then, class time can be used for discussion and deeper clarification on the subject at hand. This approach allows the students to gain a better understanding of the information. An open educational resources are basically an online learning resource that are very accessible. These resources allow teachers to adapt these resources and use them with in their classroom free of charge, it helps broaden their material. For my second Independent Learning Project I decided to interview a teacher from my high school. I asked 3 questions in regards to technology in the classrooms.
