If I were going to be a teacher I do not think that I would use data collection or surveys often at all. I feel that surveys would be more used by administration versus the individual teacher. Math teachers would be more inclined to using surveys because it could deal with numbers. Excel is definitely something that is widely used by teachers especially when it comes to keeping track of students grades and assignments.
After reviewing my classmates blogs the topics I found most interesting were adaptive technologies and the flipped classroom approach. Adaptive technologies is something that makes technology available for everyone and I find that to be really interesting and innovative. in my opinion the flipped classroom approach allows for a better learning environment. Letting the students learn the information before going to class is extremely beneficial and it allows for classroom time to focus on actual concepts and not just the information.
The next technology skill that I would like to learn would be photoshop. Editing different media sources is something that I have always been interested in. I have used photoshop in the past but only on my cellphone which is completely different than the version on a computer. I will develop better photoshop skills but hopefully purchasing the software for my computer and teach myself by watching tutorials. Until I get the software I will continue to use the app on my phone to edit different media.

We also had a Mac Computer Lab accessbile for students in journalism or yearbook class. Incoming freshman were required to sign up for a intro to technology class to help them get equipped with Word, Power Point, and Excel. In this class I hope to gain knoweldge about the advancemetns of technology. I want to apply those advancements of technology an...

The three questions I asked were  Review your past years at work. Which technologies did you use and how did you use them? How have you used or how will you use new technology in your classrooms?   Do you believe that technology has an impact on how much students focus in class?   Here is the link to my voice thread which is a powerpoint explaining parks answers to my questions! https://voicethread.com/share/13251171/

Using Twitter has been an interesting experience. Prior to this class I would only use twitter for the social aspects. Using it for a class allows you to actually gain some sort of knowledge. The benefits of using twitter as a part of this class are that you can learn new things that developing within the education realm. I get updates from the United States education department almost daily and it is interesting to read the facts that they post.         After completing the Web Design assignment I realized how easy it was to make a website. I have worked with Wix Portfolio before but I didn't remember how to use it. I liked how they have templates already designed for you, it makes the process a lot easier if you're not creative. The only issue I had was when trying to put boxes around text it would not let me edit the text after so I had to copy the text, delete it and create a new text box, which was frustrating. Th...
