If I were going to be a teacher I do not think that I would use data collection or surveys often at all. I feel that surveys would be more used by administration versus the individual teacher. Math teachers would be more inclined to using surveys because it could deal with numbers. Excel is definitely something that is widely used by teachers especially when it comes to keeping track of students grades and assignments.  After reviewing my classmates blogs the topics I found most interesting were adaptive technologies and the flipped classroom approach. Adaptive technologies is something that makes technology available for everyone and I find that to be really interesting and innovative. in my opinion the flipped classroom approach allows for a better learning environment. Letting the students learn the information before going to class is extremely beneficial and it allows for classroom time to focus on actual concepts and n...

The flipped classroom approach is when you give the students the material online before the class. This means that the students are able to learn the material before class. Then, class time can be used for discussion and deeper clarification on the subject at hand. This approach allows the students to gain a better understanding of the information. An open educational resources are basically an online learning resource that are very accessible. These resources allow teachers to adapt these resources and use them with in their classroom free of charge, it helps broaden their material. The educational resource I am discussing can be found on through this link:    https://www.oercommons.org/courses/100-people-a-world-portrait/view . It provides you information on global issues, pictures, videos, stats, and ways to get involved.  The powerpoint assignment was very interesting. In my opinion the non-interactive powerpoint was harder than the interactive powerpoi...

Before this class I had never heard of Diigo. Diigo is an amazing tool that helps to keep your websites you use and it allows to highlight and annotate articles that you are reading. Diigo has already been useful to me outside of this classroom. I used it for another one of my classes to annotate and highlight major points in the article I was reading. This website is something that is going to be extremely useful for me in the future. In the classroom this website will be useful for when I am giving lectures because it will allow me to take notes on what I am discussing and I can refer to those points during my lectures.       For each of level of blooms taxonomy they can all be used in PowerPoint form. Each level of Blooms Taxonomy can be explained by using PowerPoints. A power point will allow you to be knowledgeable about the information being presented, the audience is able to comprehend the information and you are using the design/applic...

Using Twitter has been an interesting experience. Prior to this class I would only use twitter for the social aspects. Using it for a class allows you to actually gain some sort of knowledge. The benefits of using twitter as a part of this class are that you can learn new things that developing within the education realm. I get updates from the United States education department almost daily and it is interesting to read the facts that they post.         After completing the Web Design assignment I realized how easy it was to make a website. I have worked with Wix Portfolio before but I didn't remember how to use it. I liked how they have templates already designed for you, it makes the process a lot easier if you're not creative. The only issue I had was when trying to put boxes around text it would not let me edit the text after so I had to copy the text, delete it and create a new text box, which was frustrating. Th...

The website that I found is for a 5th grade math class. From first looking at the website you can tell that the teachers audience is very clear. It is designed in a kid friendly way for both the parents and the students to be able to utilize the site. The type of information displayed on the page are assignments for the class on what they will be doing in class for that day, a meet the teacher page, and it has an awesome resources page available for the parents to use with their children. http://5thgraderocks5thgraderules.blogspot.com/p/meet-teacher.html In the future Technology is going to be bigger than it is now so it will most definitely play a prominent role in my future professional career. I plan on using certain resources such as Excel, Powerpoint, and Microsoft Word in my professional future. These resources are diverse and can be used for multiple things in the work force. They allow you to utilize organizational skills in a simple, non-complex way. After going to the te...

Before this class I had never even heard of Diigo. When first using the website I was a little confused on what its purpose was but after using it during class I learned that this source is very reliable and useful. Being in college requires you to write a lot of research papers and Diigo would be very beneficial when writing research papers because it allows you to store your sources and annotate them. I like how its very accessible but it is annoying that you can only really use it on Google Chrome. Blogging thus far has been a good experience. In the past I had never blogged so it is nice to be able to try something new.  I like how I am able to talk in a more relaxed way because it is not strenuous at all. Blogging has made doing homework actually enjoyable. When teaching a web 2.0 tool that I would implement would be Kahoot! Kahoot! is an awesome way to for students to learn.  When using Kahoot! you are able to input your own information and make it into an interactive ...
